Finally, I have time to post! Let me start this with the special birthday we had a week ago. MJ Briggs turned 6 years old! We decided to take them to the Air and Space Museum because we want to be good parents :D. I forgot to bring my camera, so I got a disposable one and that explains the quality of the photos.

Finally, the presents!
Notice the Christmas wrapper? He didn't mind that Mommy was too cheap to buy birthday wrappers.
He enjoyed his special day and really loved all his presents even the once he got in the mail from the grammas and the grandpas.

New Haven, CT

We decided to stay in New Haven as we stopped by Connecticut. Our good friends Rhett and Menchu lives there and were expecting their first baby soon. Instead of meeting up for dinner with us, Menchu had to go to Labor and Delivery. Baby Trace Pelaez decided to come out a week early and we were fortunate to meet him.

Gramma and Grandpa Nauser and the birthplace of hamburger

We met up with Gramma and Grandpa and decided to have lunch at Louis, where the very first hamburger was made. It was featured in Food Network a few weeks ago. That's how we found out about it. Unfortunately we came at a wrong time. All the other tourists decided to come the time we were there. Needless to say, we waited 2 hours for our authentic Louis hamburger. Was it worth it?>> Definitely! By the way they have some killer fresh pies too.

Yale University
The boys thought the buildings there were pretty cool but they didn't really understand why we had to go there and take pictures. They're not so bored because they had each other to play with.

Danvers, MA
We had a GREAT time in Massachusetts. We had great hosts who took us everywhere and fed us very well!

After 4 hours of travelling we got to Uncle Boboy and Auntie Nida's house in Danvers.
the kids brought a lot of noise to their quiet place.

Richardsons Farm, Danvers MA
After Salem we went to this farm/ driving range/ batting cage/ ice cream place. The ice cream was amazing that I din't even think about taking a picture of them. I was busy devouring my huge scoop of Cookie dough PB mix.

While Mike was busy hitting some balls, Nyle kept himself occupied with trying on helmets and sampling the bats.

Harvard University

We were too lazy to stand in line to have a picture next to Mr. Harvard's statue. So here we are , there's Mr. Harvard with the Asian lady trying to have her picture taken with him.
On the steps of the building where they do their commencement exercise. We have no idea whose legs are those behind us.
Cool looking door.

Few more weeks and the boys will start school. It was a fun summer! Well, it's not over yet. We won't be travelling but we do have some family coming and a birthday and anniversary to celebrate!

22 July 2009

We're going on another trip tomorrow, so I want to make sure that I get to post about our last family trip and some random updates.

Random Updates
Mike is officially a TSgt! No pictures from his promotion ceremony, it was held at 7AM. We both agreed that it would be crazy to drag all 3 kids who for sure will be all asleep. But we're truly grateful for another stripe!
Tres amigos with their silly smiles

Our baby girl will be 10 month old tomorrow. Today, she totally amazed us. She walked by herself for 6 steps(yes, I counted!). She learned to say bye, clap her hands and blow kiss, all in one day.

We got our confirmation letter for Nyle's Pre-K class. Our Tino Boy will soon be going to school.
Here, he is trying to show off his scooter skill.

Welcome to Williamsburg, Virginia!

Going Asian at Williamsburg
They do look like they're very satisfied with lunch at Peking Asian Buffet. We highly recommend the place.

Thank you Hero Salute for another enjoyable time using free passes. We loved it!!

Escape from Pompeii

MJ went with Mike in the Escape from Pompeii. He was a trooper.

Then, for some reason Mike convinced me to do it too. MJ promised he'll hold my hand.

I don't know what's worse the feeling of like falling off the ride or the high pitched, very loud screams of the tweeners behind us.

One of his favorite rides/ Sky ride

Definitely Nyle's favorite ride

Where was Naia?
Just woke up from her nap. She was a really good girl the whole time.

Nyle kept himself busy by trying on hats while waiting for MJ and Dad to come back from the Big Bad Wolf ride

Mike, all excited while MJ had no idea what he was in for. He said that it was too freaky.

Italy

MJ's other favorite ride. They were completely wet after this ride.
